Angel Home Healthcare Services provides the following services:

Skilled Nursing
The Registered and Licensed Nurses are highly trained and experienced in caring for the patient in their home. Skilled Nursing includes services and care that can only be performed safely and correctly by a licensed nurse such as:

  • Management and implementation of Physician Plan of Treatment
  • Interaction with patient's family/caregiver regarding patient care
  • Evaluate patient and communicate to physician regarding changes in patient's condition
  • Teach and train patient and family/caregiver how to manage treatment regimen
Angel HHS has a full staff of registered nurses (RN�s) and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs)

Home Health Aide
The Home Health Aide performs routine duties in caring for the patient in their home. They are qualified to provide personal care, exercise and ambulation, assist in therapeutic services, and accomplish some household services essential for health care at home. The home health aide supplements a patient�s basic nursing or therapy care by providing the some or all of the following:

  • Assist patient in meeting personal hygiene needs
  • Prepare meals and assist with eating (if necessary)
  • Provide some household services necessary for healthcare at home
  • Assist with medications that are ordinarily self-administered
  • Assist patient with ambulation using proper body mechanics
  • Assist with routine maintenance exercises
Medicare does not cover home health aide services unless you are also getting skilled care such as nursing care or therapy.

Physical Therapy
The physical therapist provides goal directed approach to rehabilitation of a patient with decreased mobility, gait difficulties, weakness and balance disturbances. This may include exercise to regain movement and strength to a body area, and training on how to use special equipment or do daily activities, like how to get in and out of a wheelchair or bathtub. It can include some or all of the following:

  • Total Joint Program (Complimentary Pre-op Home Assessments)
  • Safety Assessment / Education
  • Mobility Training
  • Endurance / Strengthening Exercises
  • Pain Management
  • Home Exercise Program
  • Coordinate with physician for plan of treatment
Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapist provides assistance in household management skills, energy conservation and work simplification. This therapist uses methods that attempt to improve a patient�s cognitive and functional ability to perform basic activities of daily living. The therapy can include some or all of the following:
  • Assess patient's rehabilitation needs
  • Implement therapeutic program to improve level of independence of patient
  • Coordinate with physician for plan of treatment
Speech Therapy
The speech therapist can provide assessment and evaluation of neurological and cognitive disorders that cause difficulty with communication. Their treatment can consist of some or all of the following:
  • Memory / Cognition Therapy
  • Communication Skills
  • Difficulty in Swallowing
  • Speech / Language
  • Post Stroke
  • Alzheimer�s Treatment
  • Instruct patient, family or caregiver in therapeutic procedures
  • Coordinate with physician for plan of treatment

Medical Social Services
The medical social worker meets with the patient and family/caregiver helping them to make adjustments to the impact of illness. The medical social worker can provide assessment and possible referral to community resources for social, emotional, financial and personal problems related to their illness and recovery. They can also assist with long term planning and medication resources.
